About EVS

Some questions about what are we doing in Leszno? Why CAT foudation? What is CAT? All your questions you are going to find below:

European Voluntary Service (EVS) is a volunteer which you can choose an area to work (culture, youth, sports, social care, arts, envronment). It is between 2 and 12 months and it is for young people between 18 and 30 years old.
You should get accomodation, food, insurance, pocket money and the certified about what you are doing (youthpass - https://www.youthpass.eu). More than that, and the most important: Have fun!

EVS is not:
- A holiday;
- Job substitution;
- A language course;
- An internship.

While you are applying, you should know that there are four environments involved: you, of course, your sending institution, your hosting insitution and your coordinating organization.

For more information, please check the website about it:

About CAT foundation, in Leszno:

Centrum Aktywności Twórczej

It is a foundation, in Leszno, created to develop the cultural and educational part in the town Leszno and in the cities and tows close to this one.
It's a foundation we represent and we are very proud for it. We expend our time in the office, trying to create new things and show it to everyone. So, when we are not in the office, we are showing it to Leszno and polish people.

Please, contact them, if you are interested in it:

Our project consistes in go to schools (since kindergarden, untill high school) to share informations about our countries, our languages and our cultures. We expended the winter holidays with kids joining workshops (cooking workshops, sports workshops, pompom workshops, muhai thai workshop, soup workshops...).

The most important thing during all this time:

HAVE FUN!!

Each other
With the kids
With the person next to you everywhere.

So, for us:

EVS is important to know ourselves, gain some skills, have fun, creat strong friendships, learn about new cultures and countries. It is also an opportunity to travel, discover new things and to be independet. EVS helps us to grow up and discover what we are and what we can do in this world.

We are waiting for the next volunteers' group to keep our work and develop new things. Just try it!
